Team Review: The Three Amigos!!!

Three amigos! Got these pieces loose at a comic store, and I thought I'd give 'em a try working as a team. My mistake... (Each figure is rated on a five star scale)

ARCANE (70 pts) = ****
Definitely a fun piece! He's affordable and has a dial full of variety, maintaining a 2 damage throughout and touring the whole spectrum of powers, ranging from psychic blast, impervious, poison, leaping, super strength, and more, all wrapped up in a cool looking figure with a suprising 8 range. Affordable and delicious!!!

IMPULSE (45 pts) = **
A mildly useful guy. He has a brief spurt of hypersonic speed, but that soon gives way to a high-distance charge. Plus, he only has about five clix of fight in him or so. While any character with hypersonic speed is fun enough to warrant a couple of stars, this fancy lad seriously lacks charm.

HAWKEYE(ff) (70 pts) = *
His impressive first click tempts you into throwing him into a perilous situation, but you've got to be careful with this hawkeye. Not only is he expensive on the old point-O-rama, but he is totally lame. A decent ranged backer, but nothing more and totally unreliable. Nice model, tho.

There you have it. I was facing an unintimidating force, and got totally blasted. Impulse went down first, as I foolishly thrust him into a deadly situation from which I thought he could escape. Next was hawkeye, crashing in flames after performing unsatisfyingly and leaving me wondering why he could possibly be worth 70 points. Arcane was fun throughout, though, raising hell all over the place and dominating the board. He was the only one who offered any real strength, and I used him to devastating effect. He put up a heck of a fight, too, but even a guy with four arms can't always win...
